Numbskull was built around a pretty simple idea: we love action sports, and we want more people to feel like they belong in them.
Walking into any sport as a beginner or newcomer, *especially as an adult* can feel overwhelming. The fear of looking dumb or getting hurt. The feeling that everyone else has been doing it since before they even started walking. Sometimes the communities themselves can feel a little cliquey, whether anyone intends them to or not.
We know that feeling because most of us at Numbskull lived it.
Many of us didn't grow up racing or spending every weekend at the track. We found these sports later in life, in our twenties, and learned firsthand that there's no expiration date on trying something new. There isn't one "right" way to become a rider, and you don’t need years under your belt to belong here either.
The moto community welcomed us with open arms, and we want to pass that feeling forward.
That's why we started the Numbskull Meet N Ride. A reason to inspire people together in a welcoming and encouraging safe space.
The goal is to make it easier for someone who's been thinking about riding to finally show up. We want to meet strangers who become friends by the end of the ride to remind ourselves that the best part ofthis sport has always been the people you share it with.
So we put out the invite to our Utah home.
We brought a bunch of extra bikes for anyone who wanted to test their skills or hop on a dirt bike for the first time. It was a hot Saturday in July, but the people showed up, and it turned into exactly what we had hoped for. A gathering for new homies.
We ripped a massive group ride, watched badass athletes throw tricks, ate hot dogs, saw scorpions, and spent the night building a crew of like-minded people.

Huge thanks to everyone who showed up and helped make it happen, including our new friends at Ride Gravitas, a Utah-based crew making some seriously sick dirt bike accessories. And an even bigger shoutout to the newbies who got on a bike and gave it a shot. That's what this was all about.
And to top it of Numbskull style…we got one last story from the night...
After everyone started heading home, our friend Sarah's car literally caught fire on the drive back. We pulled over to help, and what was supposed to be the end of the night turned into a roadside hang until nearly 5 a.m. Thankfully, Sarah and everyone else were completely okay and made it home safe. It was a pretty fitting way to end the night. Ride together. Look out for each other. See some carnage. Get everyone home.
We're stoked on what we started with this first Meet N Ride, and even more stoked to keep building it. We've already got more dirt bike events planned before we trade the dust for snow and shift into ski and snowboard season.
But no matter the season, the goal stays the same: bring good people together, welcome anyone who's curious enough to try, and keep building a community that loves this lifestyle as much as we do.
